Ocean Deep

oceanMuch ado has been made about Neil Gaiman‘s latest novel, The Ocean at the End of the Lane, released June 17, 2013.  Gaiman has not released an adult novel in the last 8 years, and though it may not seem like it at first, Gaiman’s latest novel is indeed, classified as an adult novel (meaning that it is not a children’s book or a young adult book, not that it is pornographic in nature).

Ocean is about a man who, after a recent death in his family, finds himself driving back to the neighborhood of his childhood – back to his old home, and in particular, to the home of a mysterious family down the lane who owned a farm and a duck pond, which one of the members of the family claimed to be an ocean.
